Moore N111

So this is my first post and these are just a few whiteboards from my lovely hall at the University of Evansville.

If you got any ?'s about what they say list 'em. I will try to say what each one means

It was a currency thing. A bit is like...I think 1/8th of a dollar.
Soooo, saying 9 bits means the price went up, due to inflation.

oh also, "Shave and a haircut, two bits" is a famous tune/saying from...a loooong long time ago. I blame my grandma for me knowing this.

Roger Rabbit
It is from a long time ago, but I definitely remember a scene from Who Blamed Roger Rabbit where he was singing it.

...it's also the rhythm that people knock when they want to be annoying.

Re: Roger Rabbit
Yep! It's originally from the late 1800's, says my grandma.
But I remember it in Roger Rabbit. And my grandma allllways knocks like that.

Stephen Colbert said it the other night on the Colbert Report. It's a quote from him, I'm guessing.
